DESCRIPTION:Registration for Summer Fun! begins on Sunday\, April 17 at 7:00 am for online registration and 1:00 pm in-person or by phone. \nPlace des Arts’ Summer Fun! program runs for six weeks offering many exciting week-long options for creative young people. Summer Fun! includes a wide variety of visual and performing arts classes designed to inspire the artist in every child who attends. \nThis year we are offering \n\nSummer Fun! Half Day Camps for Ages 5-7\, 8-12 and 11-14: Students can choose from a variety of visual and performing arts classes. Sign up for one camp\, or create a full day by signing up for two camps and lunchtime camp care.\nSummer Fun! Day Camps for Ages 7-10: Each week is filled with fun and engaging visual and performing arts classes.\n\nOur Day Camps are full day\, in-person camps for ages 7-10. Each week is filled with fun and engaging visual and performing arts classes for up to twenty campers per week.

DESCRIPTION:ScotFestBC – The British Columbia Highland Games is back on June 17 & 18\, 2022 \nJoin us for all the fun of a great west coast highland games\, with pipe bands\, caber tossing\, lots of piping\, dancing\, singing\, a whisky school\, live Celtic music and a free evening Friday\, June 17 (Pipes in the Park\, Beòlach\, from Nova Scotia\, Open Piobaireachd\, Whisky & Oysters). \nPurchase your tickets in advance and then come to Town Centre Park on Saturday for the fun. Take the train to the Games. There’s a free bike valet. There’ll be activities for kids\, food vendors (include veggie options)\, Scottish and other national foods\, check out the British cars\, listen to the performances on three stages including the new Heritage Stage\, or watch the heavy athletes throw big objects all over the Lew Ross Field. Hang on to your seats for the massed pipe bands flowing down onto the fields around 5:30\, and the pipers ceilidh in the big tent afterwards with Beolach. \nThere are activities for the bairns\, èildears and everyone in between. \nSo come for the pipes and stay for the haggis & bru. And maybe a pint or two with new and old friends.
