DESCRIPTION:Produced by the City of Coquitlam and presented by Coquitlam Centre\, Lights at Lafarge is Metro Vancouver’s largest free outdoor winter lights display. Stay tuned to our website and social media channels for updates throughout the season. \nThe event will run from Friday\, November 24\, 2023 until the end of February 2024. This season’s outdoor exhibit features a 1.2-km pathway that includes more lights\, re-imagined elements that highlight flora\, fauna and fairytales. \nFor the best viewing experience\, consider planning your visit during off-peak hours (before 6 p.m. and after 8 p.m.). The lights are on from 4 – 10 p.m. daily. \nRemember to post your pictures on social media tagging #LightsAtLafarge and #ExploreCoquitlam.

DESCRIPTION:Happy New Year!!! \nIf you’re feeling chipper\, there are a host of places to dispose of your Christmas tree this weekend. \nAfter de-decorating and clearing away any leftover tinsel\, Coquitlam residents can unload their Christmas trees at Mundy Park on Saturday and Sunday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. \nTrees can also be brought to Lot A at Town Centre Park between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. \nResidents who want to support Scouts Francophone de Maillardville can cart their tree to the Canadian Tire parking lot on Seguin Drive between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday. \nIf you’re able to cut your tree into one-metre lengths and limit branches to 10 centimetres in diameter\, Coquitlam residents can also dispose of tree in green carts. The cart lid must be closed.
