DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of March 8\, International Women’s Rights Day\, we wanted to share with you a friendly moment in French. \nWe propose an evening of exchange and expression around short videos specially selected for the occasion. \nWe will start with a very short documentary; we will take the time to comment together by sharing our points of view. Then we will highlight the great personalities in the history of Francophone women’s rights in Canada: \n\nThérèse Casgrain\, a leading person in the campaign for women’s suffrage in Quebec. She fought against social\, economic and political injustices throughout her life.\nMarie Bourgeois\, a great woman of our province\, she devoted more than twenty-five years of her life to the Francophonie.\n\nFinally\, we will create together a collective flag imagined by the artist Joanne Plourde that will express our emotions and thoughts. (Freedom of creation: possibility to draw or write) \nEvent in French \n\nFree event upon registration. Snack included!\nLimited capacity.\nCOVID19 protocol in place\, mandatory mask and presentation of a vaccination card\n\nÀ l’occasion du 8 mars\, Journée Internationale des Droits des femmes\, nous avons souhaité partager avec vous un moment convivial en français.\nNous vous proposons une soirée d’échange et d’expression autour de courtes vidéos spécialement sélectionnées pour l’occasion.\nNous commencerons par un très court reportage que nous prendrons le temps de commenter ensemble en partageant nos points de vue. Nous mettrons ensuite en lumière les grandes personnalités dans l’histoire des droits des femmes francophones au Canada :\n– Thérèse Casgrain dame de premier plan dans la campagne en faveur du droit de vote des femmes au Québec. Elle s’est battue tout au long de sa vie contre les injustices sociales\, économiques et politiques. \n– Marie Bourgeois\, figure importante de Colombie-Britannique\, a consacré plus de vingt-cinq ans de sa vie à la francophonie.\nEnfin\, nous créerons ensemble à un drapeau collectif imaginé par l’artiste Joanne Plourde qui exprimera nos émotions et réflexions. DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\nJoin our new event: The artistic happy hour !\nThis is a friendly and free event to meet artists from all backgrounds (visual arts\, music\, literature …) and discover their creative work.\nOur guest on March 18 will be Harmonie Garry\, visual artist of poetry Trotte-tête – Scenographer – Cultural ambassador in schools\nShe will present her universe through two creations that never end:\nAn illustrated\, bilingual children’s book entitled “The Little Princess Who Didn’t Like Dresses.”\nThe triptych in series of the crazy story of the Littles Dudes and the imaginary jobs. (Watercolor\, Paper cut\, Collage and light boxes)\nTo apprehend this triptych\, she will offer to participate in the game that inspired the entire Littles Dudes project.\nThis evening will also be an opportunity to taste a glass together! \nPlease note that your BC vaccine card and ID will be required to participate in this event. \nJoignez-vous au 6 à 8 des artistes!\nIl s’agit d’une causerie conviviale et gratuite pour rencontrer des artistes de tous horizons (arts visuels\, musique\, littérature…) et découvrir leur travail de création.\nNotre invitée\, le 18 mars \, sera Harmonie Garry\, artiste visuelle de poésie Trotte-tête – Scénographe – Ambassadrice culturelle en milieu scolaire\nElle nous présentera son univers par le biais de deux créations :\nUn livre illustré et bilingue pour enfant intitulé « La petite princesse qui n’aimait pas les robes. »\nLe triptyque en série de la folle histoire des Littles Dudes et les métiers imaginaires.
