DESCRIPTION:Join us for all the fun of a great west coast highland games\, with pipe bands\, caber tossing\, lots of piping\, dancing\, singing\, a whisky school\, live Celtic music on Friday evening June 16 (Concert in the Park on Main Stage\, Whisky & Oysters & live Celtic music on the Big Tent Stage). \nPurchase your tickets in advance and then come to Town Centre Park for the fun. Take the Skytrain directly to the Games or take your bike. There’s a free bike valet. There will be activities for kids\, food vendors (including veggie options)\, Scottish and other national foods\, check out the British cars\, listen to the performances on three stages including the Heritage Stage\, or watch the REMAX Scottish heavy athletes throw big objects all over the Lew Ross Field. Hang on to your seats for the massed pipe bands flowing down onto the fields around 5:15\, and then join the pipers & drummers for a ceilidh in the big tent afterwards with our headline act. \nOn Sunday\, it’s a World Music Festival with Main Stage host Gurdeep Pandher of the Yukon\, and three other stages and performance areas\, including international workshops open to everyone. And Sunday is free! \nThere are activities for the bairns\, èildears and everyone in between. All are welcome\, and something for everyone. \nSo come for the pipes and bhangra dancing and stay for the haggis & bru. And maybe a pint or two with new and old friends.

AM GOLD is an acoustic spin down memory lane featuring the best feel-good retro radio hits from the 70’s through the 90’s from artists such as Joni Mitchell\, The Doobie Brothers\, Pink Floyd\, Neil Young\, Dolly Parton\, Shania Twain\, Stevie Wonder and more! \nAlso the Fraser Mills train station and caboose will open for the season today!  Join in for a tour and learn about the history of the train station and it’s significance to the community. There will also be fun activities and goodies to be purchased throughout the summer.\nThe train station and caboose will be open to the public: \nJune 23 to September 4\, 2023 Friday – Monday\nMonday – Friday: 11am – 5pm – Saturday – Sunday: 10am – 4pm \nEnjoy an art activity with Place des Arts during the performance! \nThis year we are also pleased to present an intermission performance by our Kelowna based Poet/Storyteller in Residence Lolu Oyedele!
