SUMMARY:Lights at Lafarge Winter Lights Display
DESCRIPTION:Skip the crowds and come early or late on weekdays for the best viewing experience.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCoquitlam’s free\, outdoor light display returns to Town Centre Park from Nov. 27\, 2021 to Jan. 31\, 2022. Modified in consideration of current provincial health orders and public safety\, this year’s Lights at Lafarge winter lights display has been dispersed to provide two walking loops within Town Centre Park. \nIn order to minimize crowds and support public safety\, those planning a visit should consider off-peak hours (before 6 p.m. and after 8 p.m.)\, and avoid weekends and the week of Dec. 20 to 26\, when it can be busier and more congested. And\, as there will be no kick-off event this year\, the nine-week long display offers lots of time to get outside and walk among the lights. \nThe City’s Park Hosts will be in the park to remind visitors of walking direction and physical distancing.

SUMMARY:Evan Lee: Artist Talk - hosted by the Art Gallery at Evergreen
DESCRIPTION:Join us and register for Evan Lee’s online artist talk. \n???? ???: ?????? presents a range of Lee’s past and most recent sculpture\, painting and lens-based work that addresses perceptions of value. We look forward to hearing more from Lee about his expansive practice and career as a conceptual artist. \nAbout the Exhibition: \n?????? is an exhibition of photography\, painting and sculpture by Evan Lee\, a Vancouver-based Chinese Canadian artist who explores the limits and possibilities of materials (particularly lens-based media) through experimentation\, adaptability and an economy of means—a process that considers the extraordinary within the multitude of mundane\, easily discarded and mass-produced objects that occupy our lives. \nEvan Lee (b. 1975) received his MFA from the University of British Columbia in 2000. He is known for exhibitions of his experimental painting and photo-based work as well as for teaching and writing. Lee was selected as the West Coast and the Yukon finalist for the 2014 Sobey Art Award\, has exhibited his work both nationally and internationally\, and is represented by Monte Clark Gallery in Vancouver. \nCurated by Kate Henderson.
